  • LEHS record holder for 6 events
  • State Champion 50 and 100 Freestyle
  • State Record Holder in 50 and 100 Freestyle
  • 5 Time All-State (1978 on 200 Medley Relay; 1979-100 Back and 50 Free; 1980-50 Free and 100 Free
  • 4 Time All-American 1978-1980
  • College-University of Texas
  • NCAA Qualifier 

JACK CAWOOD, Class of 1941 (Lettered in Football, Basketball and Baseball)

  • LEHS (1938-1941) Lettered in Football, Basketball and Baseball
  • 1939-1943 Lansing City Basketball City League
  • 1942-1943 Michigan State University. Lettered in basketball. Leading scorer.
  • Military Service – 1944 Played 1st Base for the Iowa Sea Hawks while in Navy V5 Program
  • 1945-When out of Military Service went to Western Michigan University and played basketball
    • 1st Team  Detroit Free Press All-Michigan Collegiate
    • Named one of Coach Buck Reid’s legendary team players in his career span
    • NY Madison Square Garden All-Star team
    • Set Record for number of baskets scored in a half – 20 points in 17 minutes
  • 1952 – Lansing City Jr. Golf Champion
  • 1954 – State of Michigan Handball Champion

    • Holds Point Career Scoring Totals - 1650 points
    • Career Rebounds – 748
    • All CAC 4 years

    • Finalist for Miss Basketball State of Michigan

    • 4 Times CAC Coach of the Year

  • 1987 became Assistant Principal at Pattengill (7 yrs)
